What you will do

  • Provide HR advising on collective agreements, employment policies, performance management, accommodations, and compensation administration.
  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment including job postings, interviewing, candidate selection, reference checks, and offers.
  • Manage onboarding processes, training programs, and internal placements/recalls.
  • Handle HR transactions, special projects, Workday expertise, and HR metrics analysis.
  • Facilitate return-to-work processes, grievances, and business process improvements.
  • Participate in HR training delivery and committee representations.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in relevant discipline and minimum three years of related HR experience or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of HR practices, provincial/federal employment legislation, and unionized environments.
  • Experience in recruitment strategies, behavioral interviewing, and coaching model application.
  • Proficiency with HR systems like Workday, word processing, spreadsheets.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, judgement, and ability to manage priorities under pressure.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and willingness to travel to unit locations.

Nice to have

  • Post-secondary sector experience.
  • Experience sourcing candidates and developing recruitment strategies.
