What you will do
- Provide HR advising on collective agreements, employment policies, performance management, accommodations, and compensation administration.
- Oversee full-cycle recruitment including job postings, interviewing, candidate selection, reference checks, and offers.
- Manage onboarding processes, training programs, and internal placements/recalls.
- Handle HR transactions, special projects, Workday expertise, and HR metrics analysis.
- Facilitate return-to-work processes, grievances, and business process improvements.
- Participate in HR training delivery and committee representations.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in relevant discipline and minimum three years of related HR experience or equivalent.
- Knowledge of HR practices, provincial/federal employment legislation, and unionized environments.
- Experience in recruitment strategies, behavioral interviewing, and coaching model application.
- Proficiency with HR systems like Workday, word processing, spreadsheets.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, judgement, and ability to manage priorities under pressure.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and willingness to travel to unit locations.

- Post-secondary sector experience.
- Experience sourcing candidates and developing recruitment strategies.
