What you will do

  • Develop tools and internal capabilities to measure the performance of value-based and shared-savings arrangements.
  • Create cost and revenue forecasting models using Medicaid reimbursement and healthcare claims data.
  • Analyze profitability based on duration, acuity, and resource allocation to inform senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Economics and Business Development teams to evaluate new opportunities and report risk score and utilization trends.
  • Monitor performance against forecasts and analyze drivers of variances in revenue, cost, and membership.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the United States
  • ASA or FSA designation from the Society of Actuaries.
  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 3 years of actuarial experience in healthcare, managed care, or consulting.
  • Proficiency in SQL and/or SAS.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.

Nice to have

  • Medicaid managed care rate development or rate advocacy experience.
  • Experience with value-based reimbursement strategies and affordability initiatives.
  • Prior project management experience.
