TL;DR
Data Cleanse Specialist (Federal Financial): Execute data cleanse and validation strategies against legacy financial data for a federal agency modernization project with an accent on ensuring accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness. Focus on identifying anomalies, standardizing structures, developing metrics and reports, and collaborating with technical, functional, and audit teams.
Location: Full-time remote (US-based, Washington, D.C. context), potential opportunities for onsite work in the future. Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance required.
Salary: $115,000 - $125,000 a year

What you will do
- Execute data cleanse and validation strategies against legacy financial data
- Collaborate with technical resources, end users, and stakeholders to review and confirm data cleanse requirements and methodologies
- Develop briefings, white papers, and materials to communicate data cleanse activities, status, and issues
- Analyze, execute, and enhance data cleanse strategy for audit readiness and transition to target financial system
- Design and develop metrics, reports, and dashboards for data cleanse progress
- Perform analysis to identify additional data cleansing opportunities and resolve client issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8+ years’ experience as a program analyst supporting system implementation and/or data cleanse/management efforts
- Strong understanding of federal financial reporting and accounting processes, including outstanding obligations, unliquidated obligations, and open financial system transactions
- Hands-on experience with Financial ERP systems, specifically CGI’s Federal Financial System (FFS) and Momentum
- Expert in Microsoft Excel (formulas, macros, filtering, pivot tables, graphs, charts)
- Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
