TL;DR

Data Entry Specialist (SMB PetCare Onboarding): Managing and validating customer-submitted data during the onboarding process with an accent on completeness, formatting accuracy, and template compliance. Focus on identifying gaps or inconsistencies, coordinating corrections with customers, and ensuring data quality for downstream processing by Data Analysts.

Location: Hybrid in office 2 to 3 days a week - Atlanta, GA

What you will do

  • Receive and manage customer data submissions using standardized templates like Excel and CSV.
  • Review submissions for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to requirements, identifying missing fields or inconsistencies.
  • Validate data formats, flag non-compliant submissions, and provide feedback to customers.
  • Communicate directly with customers for corrections, clarifications, and follow-ups to maintain onboarding timelines.
  • Maintain records of submissions, issues, and resolutions; contribute to process improvements.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with structured data formats (CSV, spreadsheets) and Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, sorting/filtering).
  • Basic MySQL knowledge to understand data relationships and spot errors.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow structured processes.
  • Clear written communication skills for explaining issues to non-technical customers.
  • Ability to identify data inconsistencies and escalate issues appropriately.
