Project Accountant II

What you will do

• Complete full billing cycle per project, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and meeting deadlines to minimize billing and collections times.
• Work directly with clients to provide high service levels, address needs, and resolve billing issues including invoice corrections.
• Monitor monthly project financial performance and collaborate with project managers.
• Maintain project budgets, spreadsheets, and prepare ad hoc reports.
• Coordinate collection efforts, resolve aged WIP, and attend project review calls.
• Assist in month-end revenue reviews and handle project-related invoicing issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
• 2-4 years in project accounting or billing, preferably in engineering/architecture industry
• B.S. in Accounting/Finance preferred
• Experience with Deltek or ERP software preferred
• Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, drive process improvements, and resolve complex billing challenges
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and business management software
