What you will do
- Lead cultural resources projects and business development opportunities, providing independent management of archaeological and historic resources.
- Act as Principal Investigator for archaeological fieldwork, surveys, monitoring, testing, and data recovery projects.
- Coordinate project mobilization and demobilization to various project sites.
- Ensure compliance with Section 106 and Section 110 of the NHPA for private, federal, state, and tribal clients.
- Mentor junior cultural resource personnel and provide technical and operational guidance.
- Lead the technical and strategy elements of proposal development, including scope, schedule, and budget.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a closely related field from a North American institution.
- Registered Professional Archaeologist and SOI qualified.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in cultural resource positions, including supervisory experience in the Gulf Coast and Southeast.
- Must be eligible to be employed in the US.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite, Survey 123, and AGOL.
Nice to have
- Background in geosciences such as geomorphology, pedology, stratigraphy, or sedimentology.
- Experience with GPR for cemetery delineation.
- Artifact analysis and laboratory experience.
- Thesis research on North American archaeology.
