What you will do
- Plan, schedule, order materials, and supervise work on plumbing, HVAC, electrical, ventilation, and pumping systems.
- Supervise minor construction or building alteration projects and prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Develop and administer maintenance, construction, or service contracts, including bids and awards.
- Coordinate building maintenance with other departments, public, and outside agencies.
- Inspect buildings for safety hazards, maintenance needs, and disability access; analyze energy usage to reduce costs.
- Assist in budgeting, staff training, safety programs, and long-range maintenance planning.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in commercial building operations, property management, or related industry
- Highly knowledgeable in commercial base building mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire, and life safety systems
- Strong verbal/written communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, multitasking
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma; EPA Universal Certification required within 90 days
- Ability to comply with OSHA standards, codes, regulations; physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, access confined spaces

- City/government licenses (e.g., Boiler Operating Permit, State Maintenance Electrician’s License)
