Senior Mechanical Engineer (Commercial)

Location: On-site in Nashville, Tennessee, United States. Travel is expected to be less than 20%. Relocation assistance is available.

What you will do

• Supervise commercial and federal projects to meet schedule, quality, communication, and client-expectation commitments.
• Manage, direct, and supervise mechanical engineering and production staff, including staffing projections and team meetings.
• Lead the mechanical systems design for assigned projects and check technical work for accuracy.
• Work directly with clients and owners to define project needs, establish schedules, and set expectations.
• Monitor construction-site progress in accordance with contract documents.
• Support business development and prepare RFP responses, project descriptions, and staff resumes.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of design or engineering consulting experience; 10+ years preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an experienced multidisciplinary team.
• Professional Engineer certification is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work on-site in Nashville, Tennessee, with travel of less than 20%.

• Detailed experience with Revit.
• Professional Engineer certification.
