Focus on improving project environmental design aspects and streamlining regulatory processes.

Location: Vancouver, BC / Saskatoon, SK / Whitehorse, YT / Toronto, ON / Remote

Salary: $110,000 - $183,000 a year

What you will do

  • Provide direction to all activities related to planning studies, environmental assessments and permit applications for the Mount Nansen Remediation Project.
  • Interface and communicate with various levels of government, stakeholders and communities to advance permitting and WUL activities.
  • Keep abreast of existing and pending legislation and regulation changes which may impact the project.
  • Conduct senior reviews of technical deliverables and programs in area(s) of expertise.
  • Support risk analysis with project management.
  • Monitor and promote system environmental health and worker safety compliance.

Requirements

  • University degree or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 12 years of environmental permitting experience.
  • Experience working in environmental consulting or project consulting settings.
  • Experience in building relationships and engaging with First Nations and all levels of Government.
  • Knowledge of and experience in Yukon’s and BC’s (and other jurisdictions) impact assessment and licensing regime for resource development projects.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
