Senior Scientific Program Manager

TL;DR

Senior Scientific Program Manager (Biomedical Data): Coordinating multi-stakeholder efforts to build data infrastructure for new approach methodologies research with an accent on data management, analytics, and community engagement. Focus on integrating heterogeneous data from in-vitro and in-silico models, generating AI-ready data for foundation model development, and orchestrating collaboration across technology developers, wet lab researchers, and ontology experts.

Location: Remote or hybrid arrangements within the United States. Travel two times per year for on-site events in Seattle, WA.

Salary: $107,500 - $141,200 annually

What you will do

• Take ownership of project delivery from initiation to completion, aligning with program requirements, success metrics, and organizational goals.
• Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans, milestones, and metrics using project management tools and AI.
• Build relationships, facilitate multi-institutional collaboration, and resolve alignment issues.
• Lead cross-functional teams of research, technical, and operations staff to hit milestones.
• Manage risks, interdependencies, budgets, and resources while advancing operational efficiency with AI-enabled approaches.
• Partner with leadership on priorities, communicate transparently, and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in biomedical research or health informatics.
• 5+ years in scientific program management, biomedical research coordination, or health data infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading multi-stakeholder projects in research, life sciences, or data organizations.
• Expertise in agile, hybrid, or matrixed project management environments and tools.
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and resource management skills.
• Experience assessing AI tools for program design, execution, and management.

Nice to have

• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with rare disease communities, clinical data types, data governance, data platforms, and biomedical ontologies.
