What you will do

• Lead the technical design and architecture of the QuickBooks Design System to ensure high scalability and rapid iteration.
• Partner with cross-functional product, design, and engineering teams to execute component strategies based on customer behavior.
• Optimize component rendering performance and drive the adoption of testing and observability best practices.
• Translate design tokens from Figma into scalable code architectures, resolving technical constraints.
• Champion accessibility by ensuring all components meet WCAG 2.1+ compliance and ARIA guidelines.
• Mentor team members and lead the evaluation of AI-native principles to scale the design system.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, HCI, Design, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience building and scaling widely consumed component libraries or open-source UI frameworks.
• Expertise in React, TypeScript, CSS, Git, Figma, and component documentation tools like Storybook.
• Deep knowledge of front-end performance optimization and debugging complex technical issues.
• Strong understanding of accessibility principles, including screen reader technologies and WCAG criteria.
• Fluency in AI Native principles and experience using AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
