TL;DR

What you will do

  • Build and maintain production-ready UI components using AI tools to accelerate implementation and refinement.
  • Structure the design system tokens and patterns to be machine-readable and AI-friendly for automated code generation.
  • Enable designers to prototype rapidly through coaching and the creation of low-friction workflows and templates.
  • Improve integration between Figma and engineering outputs to automate documentation and usage guidelines.
  • Ensure high fidelity between design intent and shipped UI, maintaining accessibility and inclusive design standards.
  • Collaborate with the design team during critiques to provide technical perspective on scalability and implementation.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of experience in frontend engineering, design engineering, or design systems.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Experience building UI components in modern frameworks like Vue or React.
  • Strong design sensibility and experience with Figma, design tokens, and variants.
  • Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design practices.
  • Must be based in Sydney to support the hybrid work model.
