Design Engineer (React)

Location: Remote (Must be based in Brazil)

What you will do

• Own and evolve the design system across both Figma and production code to ensure consistency.
• Build and maintain reusable, production-ready React components, tokens, and UI patterns.
• Ensure high UI quality, including interactions, responsiveness, accessibility, and edge-case handling.
• Collaborate with product designers to translate design intent into scalable production experiences.
• Improve internal tooling, workflows, and developer experience to accelerate delivery.
• Establish UI standards and raise the overall bar for frontend craftsmanship across engineering teams.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building production-grade frontend applications.
• Strong expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern CSS (Tailwind preferred).
• Proven experience building and maintaining design systems in production environments.
• Ability to work fluently in Figma and contribute to system-level design decisions.
• Must be based in Brazil.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across international design and engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with modern frontend tooling such as Vite, Storybook, or microfrontends.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code).
• Experience building developer tools, internal platforms, or workflow automation.
