What you will do

• Own the reliability, performance, and scalability of large-scale, mission-critical database systems.
• Leverage AI/ML tools to drive automation and intelligent monitoring across DevOps practices.
• Design and optimize database schemas and performance for Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Manage containerized infrastructure and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/GKE).
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins, Spinnaker, Helm, and GIT.
• Support 24x7x365 infrastructure, handling production incident management and root cause analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience as a Database Engineer or DBA.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, Ruby, Java, Perl, or C++.
• Deep expertise in Oracle and PostgreSQL performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of NoSQL, Hadoop, HDFS, and Apache Zookeeper.

Nice to have

• Cloud deployment experience on AWS (EKS, RDS).
• Experience with AI-powered observability tools like Grafana, Splunk, or AIOps platforms.
• Knowledge of automated query optimization and intelligent incident response using AI/ML.
• Exposure to data engineering for AI pipelines, including feature stores and embedding generation.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and full SDLC.
