What you will do

• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to advise on legal risks across the full product lifecycle from 0→1 launches to iterations.
• Provide guidance on AI/ML-enabled products involving Protected Health Information (PHI) and sensitive health data.
• Develop privacy frameworks, data use policies, and governance in collaboration with Security and Compliance teams.
• Advise on consumer and digital health offerings to ensure alignment with applicable laws and industry standards.
• Support go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, claims, and risk mitigation.
• Create scalable legal processes, templates, and frameworks to support rapid product development.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of legal experience, with a strong preference for in-house product counseling.
• Background in a high-growth technology company, ideally in health tech, digital health, or AI.
• Must be based in the US.
• Strong familiarity with privacy and data protection laws, specifically HIPAA.
• Experience with AI/ML product considerations and emerging regulatory and risk landscapes.
• Ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance for non-legal stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting AI-based healthcare or data-driven products.
• Familiarity with consumer health or direct-to-consumer (DTC) healthcare models.
• Experience building or scaling legal infrastructure in early-stage environments.
• Exposure to product counseling across both B2C and B2B2C motions.
