What you will do

• Manage laboratory operations and a team of 4–5 direct reports, ensuring equipment maintenance and calibration.
• Lead plant quality systems and ensure strict compliance with ISO standards through internal and external audits.
• Drive product quality improvements using SPC, Pareto charts, and 8D methodologies.
• Conduct root cause analysis for customer and plant quality investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with R&D on new product introduction (NPI), scale-up, and raw material acquisition.
• Lead Kaizen events and apply Six Sigma tools to enhance productivity and yield.

Requirements

• BS/BA Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the chemical industry as a Process Engineer or Quality Manager.
• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Piedras Negras, Mexico.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with ISO 9000 standards and auditing processes.
• Exposure to continuous improvement techniques such as TQM, DMAIC, FMEA, Lean, and 5S.
• Experience with batch manufacturing and the adhesives industry.
