What you will do

• Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team within the PlayStation SDK Developer Host Tools division.
• Guide technical discussions, architecture decisions, system design, debugging, and code reviews.
• Design and deliver solutions across backend distributed systems and web-based or native frontends.
• Manage daily execution while maintaining alignment with long-term team objectives and established plans.
• Improve developer experience through ease of use, performance, reliability, and productivity-focused tooling.
• Coordinate with teams across different time zones, remove obstacles, and clarify ambiguous requirements.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of overall software engineering experience, including 3–5+ years managing engineering teams.
• Strong technical background in backend and platform fundamentals, with the ability to work at code-level depth.
• Experience designing and delivering complex distributed systems.
• Track record of building and scaling high-performing engineering teams.
• Experience with developer tools, internal platforms, or productivity systems.
• Strong stakeholder influence and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Frontend systems experience with JavaScript, React, and React Native.
• Familiarity with AI/ML-driven workflows or developer tooling.
• Experience with performance profiling and developer ecosystems.
• Experience with C#, .NET, Rust, or C++.
