What you will do

• Conduct privacy and data protection impact assessments (PIAs/DPIAs) to evaluate the collection and sharing of personally identifiable data.
• Manage and respond to Data Subject Requests and other related privacy inquiries.
• Identify and analyze privacy risks associated with new products and technologies, recommending effective mitigation strategies.
• Investigate, document, and track routine privacy incidents while reporting identified trends.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate privacy-by-design principles into projects.
• Perform audits of electronic medical records (EMR) and other electronic systems to prevent inappropriate data disclosure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in healthcare privacy compliance.
• Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and international laws affecting PHI and PII management.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) or Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US).
• Experience with EMR auditing tools and incident management workflows.
• Experience assessing AI laws and regulations, including state-level AI disclosure requirements.
