Senior Solutions Engineer (Networking)

TL;DR

Senior Solutions Engineer (Networking): Providing technical support to Global Sales and Sales Engineering organizations by building and implementing network solutions with an accent on GPON, DWDM, and Carrier Ethernet. Focus on conducting lab trials, troubleshooting product evaluations, and deploying equipment for first office applications.

Location: Remote in Texas, Arizona, North Carolina, Alabama, or Tennessee. Regional travel is required.

What you will do

• Build, test, and ship equipment for customer evaluations, field trials, and lab personnel.
• Partner with Sales Engineering to install and demonstrate hirify.global equipment for lab and field trials.
• Troubleshoot issues during product or release evaluations and work with Engineering to resolve them.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Operations to provide pre-release products to the field.
• Provide phone and on-site support for established customer contacts during field and lab trials.
• Test specific equipment configurations to support customer applications and proposals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience designing or implementing network solutions for GPON, optical DWDM/CWDM, xDSL, Carrier Ethernet, and Wi-Fi.
• Core knowledge of IP routing and Layer 2/3 Ethernet networks.
• Proficiency with DSL, PON, Gig-E, VoIP, ATM, IMA, T1, TDM voice, and management software (TR069, TL1, MIBs, SNMP).
• Must be based in Texas, Arizona, North Carolina, Alabama, or Tennessee.
• Ability to travel as required by the position.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of ATM, IP, Optical, and Ethernet access products.
• Experience with ADSL2, VDSL2, SHDSL access technologies and TL1 command language.
• Familiarity with standards TR-101, TR-169, and G.984 1–4.
