Sr Electrical Design Engineer (Space Avionics)

Salary: $110,000–$140,000 Annually

What you will do

• Perform conceptual design, analysis, development, and testing of motor control electronics for space and military applications.
• Lead a small team of electrical engineers as the box-lead for new controller development to meet technical and budget goals.
• Conduct detailed design analysis including signal integrity, stress, sensitivity, and worst-case scenarios.
• Design custom magnetics for power supplies and filters.
• Perform radiation analysis and testing for strategic space programs.
• Collaborate with FPGA and product engineers to specify interfaces and create formal test procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of relevant technical experience.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
• Advanced knowledge of motor control electronics for space-based systems.
• Proficiency with Pspice, Orcad Capture CIS, Allegro PCB Editor, HyperLynx, MATLAB, PSIM, and CREME96.
• Must be able to work onsite in East Aurora/Buffalo, NY.
