What you will do

• Independently design and execute cell-based assays for drug discovery, focusing on genetic and small molecule screening.
• Culture and maintain diverse cell lines and primary cells with a high degree of precision.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure research plans, timelines, and deliverables are met.
• Analyze and present experimental data and research plans to internal teams and external collaborators.
• Innovate new cellular assay methods within a fast-paced, dynamic research environment.
• Supervise, train, and mentor junior members of the team.

Requirements

• PhD degree with 5-7 years of experience in cell biology, chemical biology, or high throughput screening.
• In-depth experience in culturing, deriving, and maintaining various cell lines.
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently using data-driven decision-making.
• Proficiency in maintaining detailed experimental records, documentation, and written protocols.
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Flexibility to adapt and troubleshoot effectively in a dynamic environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with plate-based assays (e.g., Cell Titer-Glo, immunofluorescence) and automation.
• Expertise in high-content imaging or molecular biology (qPCR, western blotting, ELISA).
• Experience with FLIPR assays to measure calcium flux, membrane potential, and ion channel activity.
• Proven ability to mentor junior trainees.
