What you will do

• Design, develop, and validate automated high-throughput NGS assays for commercial CLIA laboratories.
• Provide production support for active NGS assays to ensure high quality and stability.
• Manage technical projects, timelines, and deliverables for NGS-based assays.
• Execute high-complexity experiments and perform data analysis using JMP, R, or Python.
• Collaborate with automation, bioinformatics, and QA teams to meet rigorous quality standards.
• Mentor junior employees and manage the activities of Scientists and Research Associates.

Requirements

• PhD with 8+ years or MS with 11+ years of experience in assay development and automation for the life science industry.
• Demonstrated track record of development and validation of automated protocols for CLIA labs.
• Deep technical knowledge of NGS biology and processes.
• Proficiency in data analysis using JMP, Python, or R.
• Must be based in San Carlos, CA.
• Ability to travel to Austin, TX up to 20% of the time.

• Experience with hybrid capture technologies.
• Expertise in optimizing high-throughput assays utilizing liquid handler robots.
