Head of Trading (General Insurance): Setting and delivering GI trading strategy across Bancassurance, Corporate Partners and Aggregator channels with an accent on commercial growth, customer outcomes and regulatory expectations. Focus on maximising conversion of bank-generated leads, optimising digital sales journeys, and embedding insurance propositions into core bank customer experiences.

Location: Hybrid in Leeds or Edinburgh (at least two days per week or 40% of time in office)

Salary: £106,565 - £125,370

What you will do

• Own end-to-end GI Bancassurance sales performance, including volumes, income, conversion, and profitability.
• Define and deliver trading strategy across Bancassurance, Corporate Partners, and Aggregators, balancing growth and customer outcomes.
• Maximise conversion of bank-generated leads through digital, app, branch, telephony, and assisted sales.
• Lead digital sales optimisation and partner with Marketing on campaign effectiveness using data analytics.
• Provide leadership across Consumer Relationships, GI Platform, and support teams, driving large-scale change and transformation.
• Ensure strong customer outcomes aligned to Consumer Duty and regulatory expectations.

Requirements

• 10+ years deep Bancassurance expertise with proven track record of converting bank-generated demand
• Strong understanding of bank distribution models and customer journeys
• Proven digital sales and marketing capability
• Highly effective senior influencer, change leader, and experience managing teams in regulated financial services
• Strong analytical and commercial judgement
• Experience leading senior teams
