Senior Accountant (Retail)

Location: Hybrid in Krakow, Poland (requires onsite presence 3-5 times per month)

What you will do

• Own and control the monthly financial close process to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including statutory accounts and SEC reporting.
• Maintain balance sheet governance through analytical reviews and resolution of complex reconciliation items.
• Ensure correct accounting treatment for contracts and reserves in compliance with FRS102 and US GAAP.
• Take end-to-end responsibility for the accounting of non-operating entities within the UK Group.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and leading walkthroughs.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of accounting experience.
• Recognized accountancy qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA or Polish equivalent.
• Strong understanding of technical accounting standards and SOX/internal control frameworks.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Technical expertise in FRS102 UK GAAP and/or US GAAP.
• Very good English skills.
