What you will do

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial accounts under IFRS for the UK insurance company and business units.
• Produce management accounts and statutory reporting while ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
• Coordinate external audits by preparing deliverables and resolving auditor queries.
• Improve and document financial processes, procedures, and internal controls to strengthen the control framework.
• Identify and support enhancements for reporting systems to increase efficiency.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and provide team support during peak periods.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in insurance or multinational environments.
• Experience in internal and external financial reporting, including statutory and management accounts.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Fluent business-level English for clear communication with stakeholders.
• Must be based in or able to work in Lisbon on a hybrid basis.

Nice to have

• Experience in the insurance industry, specifically with IFRS 17.
• Working knowledge of Oracle Cloud financial modules.
• Exposure to data visualization tools such as Power BI.
