What you will do

• Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant backend systems processing petabytes of customer data.
• Optimize algorithms for elastic load scheduling across clusters of thousands of machines.
• Lead the re-architecting of internal message processing technology.
• Manage large-scale data using Kafka, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Collaborate with Search, Security, and Metrics teams to architect core ingest solutions.

Requirements

• 6-8+ years of industry experience with a proven track record of ownership and delivery.
• Expertise in scalable distributed data processing and multi-threaded programming.
• Experience with Apache Kafka and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming using Java or Scala.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire (no visa sponsorship available).

Nice to have

• Experience with big data or 24x7 commercial services.
• Proficiency with Unix (Linux, OS X).
• Experience with Agile software development and TDD.
