What you will do

• Lead design cycles for custom scale-out gaming hardware.
• Manage end-to-end PCBA design, including schematics and VHDL-based layout.
• Collaborate with software and firmware teams to integrate system-level solutions into datacenter architectures.
• Perform hands-on laboratory work, including hardware bringup and lab management.
• Coordinate with external partners and suppliers to execute hardware specifications.

Requirements

• BSEE required (MSEE or PhD preferred).
• 5+ years of hardware design and technical leadership experience.
• Deep knowledge of high-speed protocols (PCIe, DDR5/6, Ethernet, USB4).
• Proficiency with electrical design tools and digital electrical design.
• Experience with FPGA/CPLD design and vendor-specific tooling.
• Must be based in or able to work in Aliso Viejo, CA (Hybrid).

Nice to have

• Experience in Perl, TCL, Python, Linux, or C/C++.
• Background in developing test code for prototypes and early validation platforms.
