What you will do

• Define and lead a visionary AI roadmap that integrates cutting-edge research into healthcare products.
• Apply emerging techniques such as generative AI and knowledge graphs to solve complex biological and health challenges.
• Mentor and guide a multidisciplinary team of AI researchers, data scientists, and engineers.
• Ensure all AI applications are innovative, trustworthy, and fully compliant with regulations and data privacy laws.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and clinical experts to align AI strategy with business and health priorities.

Requirements

• 10+ years of expertise in data science, deep learning, generative AI, and ML (or 5+ years with a PhD).
• Proven experience as a technical lead managing teams of researchers and engineers.
• Strong ability to communicate complex AI concepts to non-technical executive stakeholders.
• Deep commitment to developing responsible AI and knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
• Must be based in the US or Canada.

Nice to have

• Previous startup experience, particularly as a founder or early engineering hire.
• Familiarity with health technologies such as Oura, Whoop, Apple Watch, and CGMs.
• Expertise in Multimodal AI involving imaging, genomics, text, and sensor data.
• Experience deploying AI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or edge devices.
