Salary: CAD $43.00–$64.00 per hour

What you will do

• Create photorealistic hard surface models such as vehicles, architecture, props, and armor from 2D reference, previs, and scan data.
• Deliver clean, well-constructed assets that meet the technical requirements of Rigging, FX, Layout, and Lookdev departments.
• Collaborate with the Models Department to ensure assets are delivered for various shows within strict deadlines.
• Maintain a high standard of topology and UV mapping for all digital assets.
• Work independently and take creative direction while remaining an effective team player.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in VFX production.
• Expertise in Maya is mandatory.
• Proficiency with Mudbox or Z-Brush.
• Comfortable using Linux desktop and system commands for daily tasks.
• Strong eye for matching supplied reference and detailing to a photoreal result.
• Clear and confident communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in other modeling disciplines, such as characters, creatures, or environments.
• Ability to script in MEL and/or Python.
• Knowledge of Houdini, Reality Capture, or Blender.
