Software Integration Engineer (Automotive)

TL;DR

Software Integration Engineer (Automotive): Building and optimizing robust mechatronic software infrastructure for software-defined vehicles with an accent on CI/CD, automated testing, and controller verification. Focus on root-causing complex system interaction issues and developing automated test procedures for physical benches and vehicles.

Location: Hybrid (Must report to Milford, Michigan at least three times per week)

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional teams to define and document efficient test scenarios.
• Verify controller functionality on benches or vehicles using advanced testing tools.
• Troubleshoot and root-cause software, hardware, and calibration defects.
• Develop automated test procedures and experimental software for proposed changes.
• Create and maintain a comprehensive test matrix for virtual and physical hardware.
• Collaborate with technical specialists to prevent and resolve system interaction issues.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Electrical, Software, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software integration, CI/CD, and/or DevOps.
• Proficiency with Python and/or C.
• Experience with SW development, instrumentation, and benches (e.g., dSPACE).
• Must be based in or able to report to Milford, Michigan.

Nice to have

• MS degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 8+ years of professional experience in CI/CD and software integration.
• Experience with Automotive Communication Protocols (Ethernet, CAN, LIN).
• Knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Project management skills for planning and prioritizing objectives.
