What you will do

• Execute Day-Ahead and Real-Time power scheduling in ERCOT, PJM, and other deregulated wholesale markets.
• Design and optimize industrial Demand Response (DR) curtailment programs to maximize revenue and reduce net power costs.
• Develop and execute forward power hedging frameworks and structure block energy purchases calibrated to load shapes.
• Lead negotiations for PPAs, REP contracts, and QSE agreements, including review of pass-through terms in co-location agreements.
• Monitor and interpret regulatory developments from FERC, PUCT, and PJM/ERCOT affecting power costs and market participation.
• Conduct structured audits of co-location power terms and build financial models to project revenue and cost savings.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of direct experience at a QSE, power marketing company, IPP, or energy consultancy with trading responsibilities.
• Proven track record of executing DA and RT scheduling in ERCOT and/or PJM.
• Experience designing and managing industrial Demand Response programs in deregulated markets.
• Hands-on experience structuring block energy hedges and forward power positions for large industrial loads.
• Proficiency with ERCOT (Nodal protocols, MIS) and PJM (eSchedules, Market Portal) tools.
• Must be based in Austin, TX; San Jose, CA; or Massillon, OH

Nice to have

• Familiarity with additional ISO/RTOs such as MISO, SPP, or CAISO.
• Experience with energy-specific platforms like Openlink Endur or Triple Point.
• Knowledge of SCADA or EMS systems for real-time load visibility.
• Familiarity with Bitcoin mining load profiles and hashrate economics.
