Charles River IMS Support Analyst (Asset Management)

Location: Chicago, United States; hybrid

Salary: USD 130,000–145,000 yearly, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Provide technical and functional support for Charles River IMS and related front-office systems.
• Respond to production incidents, investigate root causes, and implement corrective and preventive solutions.
• Monitor system health and performance, identify anomalies, and support critical incident escalation.
• Test investment workflows in lower environments and regression-test proposed changes.
• Maintain support documentation and participate in change management and deployment activities.
• Coordinate the technical change backlog and collaborate with development, infrastructure, and support teams on performance improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of experience in an investment manager or hedge fund environment.
• Experience as a system analyst, business analyst, or similar professional supporting Charles River IMS or another front-office system.
• Strong understanding of investment management workflows, including portfolio management, trade order management, compliance, risk management, and financial instruments.
• Intermediate T-SQL and SQL database skills, including joins and aggregate functions; knowledge of Sybase and FIX protocol.
• Experience supporting investment and trading floors, with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Charles River University or CRD bootcamp training, version 17R1 onward.
• Experience with CRIMS Manager Workbench, Trading Blotter/Order Management, post-trade workflows, securities, broker and account configuration, and investment compliance.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, desktop, server, virtualization, network topology, ServiceNow, and ITIL workflows.
• Experience with vendor trading platforms such as Portware/Flextrade, Bloomberg EMSX/TSOX, FXAll, or FXConnect.
