What you will do
- Identify daily content opportunities linked to news cycles, cultural moments, and strategic narrative priorities.
- Develop audience growth and platform-optimized content strategies for elected officials and aligned partners.
- Prepare high-performing content for amplification across partner platforms, media appearances, speeches, hearings, events, and cultural moments.
- Execute rapid-response efforts during breaking news and adapt content into deployable assets.
- Monitor and repurpose media appearances and other high-performing content.
- Track performance metrics, document best practices, and develop case studies to improve content strategy across the progressive ecosystem.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in digital communications, social media strategy, or content creation in political or advocacy settings.
- Deep knowledge of content best practices across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, TikTok, YouTube, Substack, and emerging platforms.
- Experience with Canva, Opus, video editing software, and scheduling tools.
- Ability to analyze social media performance metrics and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder influence, entrepreneurial thinking, and strong project management skills.
- Commitment to progressive values and understanding of the current political landscape.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere.
- Experience creating content in a rapid-response setting.
