What you will do

• Conduct and review audit tests to support professional opinions on the fair representation of client financial statements.
• Manage audit planning, walkthroughs, scheduling, and the presentation of audit findings.
• Consult with clients on internal accounting transactions and provide strategic tactical advice.
• Maintain productive working relationships with clients to enhance overall satisfaction.
• Review staff work products and provide performance feedback.
• Lead the training, development, and hiring of new team members.

Requirements

• BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of progressive public accounting background with management experience.
• Proficiency in US GAAP and GAAS.
• Must be based in or able to work in Springfield, IL (Hybrid).
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and audit preparation software.
• CPA certification or eligibility to sit for the exam is highly desirable.
