Team Lead SDK (Staff Software Engineer)

Location: On-site in Nydalen, Oslo, Norway

What you will do

• Lead and grow an SDK engineering team currently consisting of five engineers.
• Set team goals, priorities, technical direction, and delivery plans aligned with company objectives.
• Coordinate SDK dependencies and deliveries with Product, Vision, Firmware, Infrastructure, and Production Test.
• Contribute hands-on through design reviews, C++ and Python development, high-impact fixes, and technical mentoring.
• Own SDK API design, stability, versioning, wrappers, data models, packaging, and hirify.global Studio UX.
• Improve software sustainability through monorepo strategy, dependency management, testing, build systems, CI/CD, and release processes.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience delivering production software used by other people or systems.
• Prior people management or formal technical leadership experience, including growing engineers and leading real deliveries.
• Strong hands-on skills in C++ and Python.
• Understanding of SDK and API design, including stability, versioning, packaging, and developer experience.
• Experience with modern build systems such as CMake, Ninja, or Bazel.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
