AFL Systems Operator (Sports Tech): Setting up and operating SMART Replay system at AFL Review Centre and delivering Hawk-Eye match day technology at venues with an accent on pre-match checks, monitoring, and replay delivery. Focus on troubleshooting software issues, liaising with officials, and maintaining hardware equipment.

Location: On-site in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Full-time with weekend work (Thursday-Monday) based on match fixtures. Travel between stadiums required.

What you will do

• Set up SMART Replay system and conduct pre-match checks per standard procedures.
• Monitor and operate systems during matches, responding to officials' replay requests with optimal angles.
• Liaise with AFL officials, stadium personnel, match officials, and broadcasters on-site and remotely.
• Troubleshoot software issues, analyse performance, and report problems.
• Build, maintain hardware and equipment, and organise logistics for travel between venues.
• Assist with system design (front and back end) and contribute to Hawk-Eye offerings progression.

Requirements

• Intermediate to advanced computer skills with knowledge of networking and computer components.
• Logical problem-solving, initiative, proactivity, and calm confidence under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Interest in high-level sports involvement.
• Availability for weekend work (Thursday-Monday) around match fixtures and travel.
