What you will do

• Manage and optimize Microsoft ecosystem including Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 in hybrid environments.
• Lead cybersecurity initiatives: vulnerability remediation, system hardening, Essential Eight maturity, and Microsoft Defender/Sentinel implementation.
• Architect, scale, and automate Azure IaaS/PaaS environments with PowerShell scripting.
• Oversee network security, firewalls, VPNs, and segmentation; handle Level 3 escalations for servers, identity, and endpoints.
• Deliver end-to-end technical upgrades, maintain documentation, monitoring, backups, and support Linux servers.
• Coach team members and collaborate with stakeholders for ISO 27001/SOC 2 compliance.

Requirements

• Must be based in Melbourne or Adelaide areas with legal rights to work in Australia; no sponsorship.
• 4+ years in systems/infrastructure engineering.
• Deep expertise in Windows Server 2022, Entra ID (hybrid), Azure, Microsoft 365.
• Advanced PowerShell automation; cybersecurity experience (patching, hardening, Essential Eight).
• Firewall admin (e.g., Sophos), networking fundamentals, Linux (SUSE preferred).
• Strong documentation, communication, and coaching skills.
