TL;DR

Local IT Support- and Operational Specialist: Administering, maintaining and optimising core IT platform for Australia and New Zealand offices with an accent on incident resolution, network performance and compliance. Focus on diagnosing hardware/software issues, deploying patches, building secure enclaves and supporting end users.

Location: Parkes, AU, ACT 2600 (Canberra area), Brisbane (Australia), Wellington (New Zealand). Onsite presence required in New Zealand office a couple of times a year. Onboarding in Denmark for a few weeks; occasional meetings outside normal hours due to time differences.

International software company with 1300+ employees, focused on IT solutions for defence and other sectors, headquartered in Denmark with teams in Romania and Denmark.

What you will do

  • Diagnose and resolve IT hardware/software incidents and handle alerts.
  • Provide technical support via walk-ins and phone calls to end users in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Investigate network performance and faults.
  • Deploy patches and updates to keep the platform current.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies and ISO standards; build Australian-only enclave.
  • Build or reimage Windows workstations and procure local hardware/licenses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT or similar.
  • At least 3 years in IT, preferably support/operations and hyperconverged infrastructures.
  • Strong foundation in 1st/2nd level support, virtualization, servers/network, IT security.
  • Experience with Linux/Windows servers/workstations, monitoring (SCOM/Grafana), hybrid cloud (Nutanix/VMware), Windows 11, Office 365, Intune, Azure AD.
  • Must hold or obtain/maintain Defence NV1 security clearance; background checks required.
