TL;DR
Technical Support Engineer (Infrastructure Software): Provide expert technical guidance across Bentley’s engineering software portfolio with an accent on diagnosing and resolving complex issues in enterprise environments. Focus on troubleshooting connectivity, authentication, performance, and networking problems in multi-tier ProjectWise systems.
Location: Office-Based, Home-Based, or Hybrid in Australia (Brisbane QLD, North Sydney NSW, Perth WA)

What you will do
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across Bentley products via phone, email, and web support.
- Analyze, isolate, and escalate complex software, networking, and connectivity problems in ProjectWise environments.
- Reproduce issues in lab setups, simulate network topologies, and document solutions for knowledge bases.
- Collaborate with global teams, users, and developers in daily stand-ups and community initiatives.
- Prioritize and manage support cases with timely updates and structured escalations.
- Continuously upskill on product updates, enterprise networking, and troubleshooting techniques.
Requirements
- 4+ years of technical support experience, preferably in SaaS or enterprise environments
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, IT, Computer Science, or related field
- Strong networking fundamentals: DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, load balancing, authentication, client-server connectivity
- Experience with log analysis using Wireshark, Fiddler, and interpreting traces/error messages
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Windows Server, IIS, and cloud deployments
- Excellent written/verbal communication, troubleshooting mindset, and teamwork skills
Nice to have
- Experience with ProjectWise infrastructure or similar large-scale engineering systems
- Familiarity with engineering/AEC software or enterprise infrastructure tools
