What you will do

• Drive adoption of the data and AI platform across central ministries, local governments, and public institutions in Japan.
• Own and exceed revenue targets by winning new public sector customers.
• Develop and execute a territory and account strategy to prioritize high-potential public sector accounts.
• Identify new AI and data use cases in government operations to influence regional go-to-market strategy.
• Orchestrate internal teams and partners (SI, cloud, and consulting) to deliver successful customer outcomes.
• Apply value-based sales approaches to link platform capabilities to measurable outcomes for citizens and public services.

Requirements

• 8+ years of SaaS, cloud, AI, or big data sales experience in Japan.
• Proven ability to navigate complex public sector stakeholder ecosystems and drive technology adoption.
• Deep understanding of Japanese government procurement, including budget cycles and RFP processes.
• Experience selling usage-based PaaS/SaaS, AI, or ML solutions.
• Proficiency in structured sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC, value selling, Command of the Message).
• Must be based in Tokyo, Japan.
