What you will do

• Conduct site investigations and evaluations of existing building envelopes, including roofing, waterproofing, cladding, and glazing systems.
• Perform building condition assessments, reserve fund studies, and performance audits according to industry standards.
• Develop restoration strategies, design drawings, and technical specifications for building rehabilitation.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports, including life cycle cost projections and capital repair plans.
• Manage projects from the initial site assessment phase through to final reporting and client presentation.
• Mentor junior staff and maintain professional relationships with property managers and institutional owners.

Requirements

• Degree in applied science or engineering from an accredited university.
• 4-6 years of experience in building science, preferably within a consulting or contracting firm.
• Must be based in or be able to work in a hybrid capacity in Toronto, ON.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license within the Province of Ontario is preferred.
• Strong technical writing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Possession of a reliable vehicle for travel to project sites and willingness to perform site work (roofs, terraces, etc.).
