What you will do

• Maintain a pipeline with 24-hour turn-around for final underwrites and 48-hour for upfront decisions.
• Perform risk analysis for credit decisions based on company, Agency, and Investor guides.
• Communicate errors and missing information to Loan Processors via email and telephone.
• Manage and adjust condition sheets and final approvals within Encompass.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve stipulations for closed files.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of mortgage underwriter experience (preferred).
• SAR and/or DE certifications (preferred).
• Working knowledge of mortgage banking software and underwriting for purchase and refinance transactions.
• Experience with USDA and Bond programs is a plus.
