Salary: $76,876–$140,000 annually (based on $36.21–$67.36 hourly rate).

What you will do

• Perform prudent underwriting on conventional, FHA/VA, and specialized construction loan programs.
• Analyze complex loan scenarios, including tax returns and construction project timelines.
• Develop creative counteroffers and lending solutions to support member homeownership goals.
• Validate financial accuracy, including income calculations and loan-to-value ratios.
• Collaborate with processors and originators to resolve challenges and clear loan conditions.
• Mentor and train junior underwriters and staff on best practices and guidelines.

Requirements

• Must be a resident of WA, ID, or OR.
• Minimum of five years of professional underwriting experience.
• Proven experience underwriting residential construction loans, including draw management and cost breakdowns.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent work experience.
• Strong analytical skills for complex tax return and financial analysis.
• Ability to work in a high-production, deadline-oriented environment.

Nice to have

• FHA DE and/or VA SAR designations.
• Knowledge of the Washington State lending market.
