Salary: $44.23 - $45.67 per hour

What you will do

• Provide daily loan support via ticketing system, phone, and email regarding underwriting and loan scenarios.
• Analyze complex personal and business tax returns and provide calculations for qualifying.
• Assist Loan Officers and Processors in finding answers regarding loan eligibility and lending guidelines.
• Evaluate underwriting scenarios and suggest potential alternate options with different investors.
• Create technical documentation, "how-to" guides, and FAQs for self-help references.
• Collaborate with the Underwriting Department, Regional teams, and Sales calls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4+ years of mortgage underwriting experience preferred.
• Experience underwriting to multiple agency and investor guidelines.
• Government underwriting designations (FHA and VA) preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
