Building Envelope (Project) Consultant

Location: Hybrid role serving Atlanta, Georgia and Baltimore, Maryland, with regular site observations, frequent travel, air travel, and overnight stays as needed across the Eastern United States. Report writing is completed from a home office; the role does not report to an office location.

Salary: $80,000–$100,000 USD per year, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Consult on complex building enclosure projects and provide leadership to internal and external project teams.
• Conduct approximately 16–25 exterior envelope site observations each month.
• Prepare technical photo and text reports for each site observation.
• Schedule site visits with project teams and coordinate internal testing teams as needed.
• Maintain the project and site-visit schedule.
• Travel beyond the Atlanta area, including air travel and overnight stays.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of construction experience.
• Knowledge of below-grade waterproofing, roofs, windows, doors, weather barriers, cladding systems, and balcony systems.
• Comfort working at heights, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Clean driving record required.
• Ability to perform regular construction-site observations and frequent travel.
• Thorough background, driving-record, and drug screening checks are required.

Nice to have

• At least 5 years of project management experience.
• Extensive knowledge of multifamily wood-frame construction.
