Pay Range: $24.5303-$36.7954

What you will do
- Research, collect, and analyze data for ad-hoc operational projects and initiatives, providing summaries and recommendations.
- Audit department information, produce analytical reports, and suggest process improvements.
- Ensure accurate CPT/ICD-10 documentation for patient billing and educate colleagues/providers on coding.
- Perform charge entry, approvals, quality reviews, and reconciliations for assigned departments.
- Assist with denial reviews, root cause analysis, and provide at-elbow support to ancillary departments.
- Coordinate with stakeholders on system changes and maintain charge capture processes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years relevant coding/charge control experience in hospital/physician practice and revenue cycle
- Experience with clinical processes, charge master, coding guidelines, APC/OPPS, prebill edits
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, data entry, supply chain, hospital operations
- Ability to perform charge capture, investigate errors, Epic experience desired
- Must adhere to US federal/state/local laws and policies
Nice to have
- RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC/COC or other coding credentials; CHC preferred; CHRI strongly preferred
- Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse licensure
- Knowledge of clinical documentation improvement processes
