What you will do

• Direct billing management and staff to ensure accurate claims submission, timely collections, and adherence to payer contracts including Medicare and commercial insurance.
• Establish and maintain billing data, rate schedules, payer information, and perform reimbursement analysis with exception reporting and denials management.
• Maximize cash collections by monitoring authorizations and accounts receivable, while preparing detailed reports on AR activity and performance metrics.
• Manage outreach billing operations including hiring, training, performance reviews, and continuous improvements in prior authorizations and revenue cycle processes.
• Collaborate with finance, sales, marketing, and senior leadership on billing analysis, new initiatives, and compliance matters.
• Draft budgets, forecast headcount and cash receipts, and interface with third-party payers to resolve reimbursement issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum 8 years managing high-volume billing office in laboratory setting
• Extensive prior authorization billing operations experience
• Extensive knowledge of reimbursement, billing, coding, and compliance regulations
• Experience with data analysis, reporting tools like Excel and PowerBI
• Demonstrated leadership in multi-site environment with strong communication and problem-solving skills
