What you will do

• Design electrical systems for buildings, including power, lighting, fire alarms, and special systems across various market sectors.
• Perform electrical design tasks such as service entrance sizing, distribution, motor feeders, and standby generator coordination.
• Conduct power studies utilizing SKM Power Tools and Easypower.
• Visit project sites locally and across the U.S. to gather existing conditions and review new work.
• Collaborate with electrical designers, BIM specialists, and CAD technicians to deliver coordinated construction drawings.
• Manage smaller projects independently from conceptual design through to completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience in the design of electrical systems for various types of facilities.
• Must be based in San Jose, CA for on-site work.
• EIT or PE certification is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative to drive projects forward.
