What you will do

• Own full-cycle sourcing for roles in AI/ML research, software infrastructure, and physical sciences (chemistry, physics, materials).
• Build high-quality talent pipelines using LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Google Scholar, and academic databases.
• Craft personalized outreach to engage highly specialized, passive candidates.
• Partner with hiring managers and researchers to deeply understand niche role requirements.
• Track pipeline health and sourcing metrics using Ashby ATS.
• Research the competitive landscape and represent the company at conferences and research symposia.

Requirements

• 5+ years of sourcing or recruiting experience focused on software, AI/ML, or deep tech.
• Proven track record of filling hard-to-fill, highly specialized technical and research roles.
• Deep familiarity with Boolean search and tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, and Semantic Scholar.
• Ability to evaluate technical profiles across diverse scientific and engineering domains.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preference for candidates located in Menlo Park or San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Experience sourcing for physical sciences (materials scientists, chemists, physicists).
• Familiarity with academic recruiting pipelines (PhDs, postdocs, faculty).
• Previous experience at an AI lab, deep tech company, or national research institution.
• Knowledge of AI/ML research clusters and conferences like NeurIPS, ICML, or ICLR.
• Experience with AI-assisted sourcing platforms like Apollo, SeekOut, or Findem.
