Salary: $220,000 - $255,000 USD

What you will do

• Build and evolve a next-generation cloud-based compute platform for life insurance.
• Design relational database schemas and high-performance application logic.
• Collaborate with other developers and product managers to deliver core product features.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
• Implement secure applications and optimize performance using APM and profiling tools.
• Develop and support abstraction layers to increase team productivity.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience developing production-quality code.
• Must be based in the US and able to work mostly during Pacific Time Zone hours.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, functional programming, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with distributed systems, REST APIs, and JSON integrations.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tooling and secure application development.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript and React.
• Knowledge of AWS (S3, EKS, RDS, EC2) and Docker.
• Experience with test-driven development (TDD) practices.
